Bliss House is one of America's Top Licensing Consultancies
Bliss House was founded in 1985 by Jerry Houle, the former Marketing VP for Jim Henson's Muppets and one of the eight founders of the original licensing association. Houle has over 30 years licensing experience as a Licensor, Licensee, Agent, Consultant and grad-school Professor. He created the world's first MBA-level course in licensing. Sponsored by LIMA, the professional licensing association, it is now in the permanent curriculum of the Babson College, Wellesley and The Sotheby's Institute of Art, NYC. Bliss House was nominated as LIMA's Licensing Agency of the Year for its very successful worldwide licensing program for Curious George.
In addition to consulting to Licensors, Bliss House has served as agent for a number of world-renowned clients: Cadillac, Diana, Princess of Wales, Sam Adams, Matchbox, Babar, The Velveteen Rabbit, Scrabble and WGBH, Boston. The company also continues responsibility as worldwide representative for Monty Python as well as its licensees of former clients: Charlie Chaplin, London's ITV/Granada/Carlton International Media, H.A. Rey, and Harry the Dirty Dog
